Broken English

So I'm watching "Broken English" for the hundreth time, wondering why I am so fascinated with this simple movie. I guess it is the combination of the character's(Nora) loneliness and desperate yearning to really experience love and the amazing style and character of the movie. This movie inspires me on a personal style level as well. Every outfit that Nora wears gives me ideas in my own wardrobe---especially in this recession. It makes me want to online shop, although that turns into the web's version of window shopping. I always end up filling up my shopping cart and once I feel the urge to max out my credit card I close out my browser and drag my broke a** to bed. Then I dream that my husband is pulling a 6 figure salary and he frequently surprises me with beautiful boxes filled with luxurius footwear. It's not that I'm shallow or materialistic, I just I like the best of the best. I may be workin my discount clearance rack final sale heels, but not for long! "Someday", I say! I will have the coveted red-bottom 4 inch heels that pair nicely with my mixed wardrobe of Anthropologie finds, Rachel Roy, Marni, H&M and even Target. For now, my dreams will have to suffice and I'm OK with that. Besides, my 2 month old puppy might get sent to the pound if I found him chewing on a pair of shoes worth more than my current bi-weekly paycheck. No, I guess my discount shoes will have to do for now. In the mean time, I will be searching online to find the quirky outfits from this awesomely stylish movie that I highly recommend to Parker Posey fans and fashion fiends alike. Peace
